  1. Develop and oversee global clinical strategy for AstraZeneca, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  2. Lead and manage a team of clinical professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in their roles.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement clinical trials that meet regulatory requirements and drive successful outcomes.
  4. Use your expertise in the pharmaceutical industry to identify innovative solutions to complex medical challenges.
  5. Stay current on industry trends, advancements, and regulations to inform and guide clinical development.
  6. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, medical experts, and internal departments.
  7. Provide strategic input and support for the development of new drugs and treatments.
  8. Oversee the execution of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to protocols, timelines, and budgets.
  9. Analyze and interpret clinical trial data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert and represent AstraZeneca at external conferences, meetings, and events.
  11. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the clinical development team.
  12. Communicate and report on the progress and results of clinical trials to senior management and other key stakeholders.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
  14. Drive the development and implementation of SOPs and best practices for clinical research.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree And Board Certification: A Senior Medical Director At Astrazeneca Must Possess A Medical Degree And Be Board Certified In A Relevant Medical Specialty, Such As Internal Medicine Or Oncology.

  • Extensive Clinical Development Experience: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Clinical Development, Including Experience In Global Clinical Trials And Regulatory Submissions.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: A Senior Medical Director Must Have Proven Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Manage And Motivate A Team, As Well As Collaborate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Guidelines: A Strong Understanding Of Global Regulatory Guidelines And Requirements Is Essential For This Role, Including Experience With Fda And Ema Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills: A Senior Medical Director Must Possess Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills, As They Will Be Responsible For Presenting Clinical Data To Key Stakeholders And External Audiences.
