  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the Payer Evidence, Methods, & Access Affairs department in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  2. Lead and manage a team of professionals to effectively execute projects and initiatives.
  3. Oversee the development and execution of health economics and outcomes research studies to demonstrate the value of AstraZeneca's medicines.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Market Access, Commercial, and Medical Affairs, to ensure alignment and integration of payer evidence and messaging.
  5. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare industry, including payers, policymakers, and patient advocacy groups.
  6. Stay up-to-date on healthcare policy and market trends to inform decision-making and provide strategic guidance.
  7. Represent AstraZeneca at conferences, industry events, and other external meetings to promote the company's value proposition.
  8. Provide leadership and guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies for current and future products.
  9. Develop and manage the department's budget and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  10. Mentor and develop team members, providing opportunities for growth and advancement.
  11. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  12. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  13. Communicate departmental updates, progress, and challenges to senior leadership.
  14. Collaborate with global counterparts to share best practices and contribute to global initiatives.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and quality within the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And External Stakeholders.

  • Extensive Experience In Healthcare Reimbursement And Market Access Strategies, With A Minimum Of 10 Years In A Senior Management Role.

  • Strong Understanding Of Payer Evidence Generation And Methods, Including Health Economics And Outcomes Research (Heor) And Real-World Evidence (Rwe).

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Navigating Complex Payer Landscapes And Securing Reimbursement For Pharmaceutical Products.

  • Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Health Policy, Health Economics, Or Life Sciences.
