Develop and implement a comprehensive machine learning and artificial intelligence strategy for the organization.
Ensure successful integration and utilization of ML/AI technologies across all departments and functions within the organization.
Provide leadership and direction to a team of ML/AI professionals, including data scientists, engineers, and analysts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging ML/AI to drive innovation and transformation.
Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in ML/AI and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the organization's capabilities.
Create and maintain partnerships with external vendors and research institutes to access cutting-edge ML/AI solutions.
Oversee the development and deployment of ML/AI models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
Work closely with senior management to align ML/AI initiatives with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of ML/AI operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Serve as a subject matter expert on machine learning and artificial intelligence, providing guidance and support to various teams and stakeholders.
Collaborate with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure ML/AI initiatives meet all legal and ethical standards.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the ML/AI team and promote knowledge sharing across the organization.
Represent the organization at industry events and conferences to showcase our ML/AI capabilities and build relationships with key stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Or A Related Field Is Required. A Phd Is Preferred.
Extensive Experience In Ml & Ai: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Machine Learning And Artificial Intelligence, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading Large-Scale Projects And Teams.
Strong Technical Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Technical Skills In Areas Such As Data Science, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, And Deep Learning. They Should Also Have Hands-On Experience With Relevant Tools And Programming Languages.
Leadership And Management Experience: The Senior Director Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Data Scientists And Ai Experts. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role, With A Demonstrated Ability To Motivate And Develop Team Members.
Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry Experience: Astrazeneca Is A Global Biopharmaceutical Company, So Experience In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Industry Is Highly Preferred. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Industry And Its Unique Challenges, As Well As A Track Record Of Successfully Applying Ml & Ai In A Similar Setting.
