Conduct research and analysis to identify and evaluate clinical information science solutions that support drug development and patient outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes and technologies that improve the collection, management, and analysis of clinical data.
Utilize advanced data management and statistical skills to design and execute complex data analysis plans.
Provide technical expertise and support to project teams, including training and troubleshooting of data management tools and systems.
Serve as a subject matter expert on clinical information science, staying up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices.
Lead and participate in the development and implementation of data standards and protocols.
Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of data and information.
Contribute to the writing and review of clinical study protocols, documents, and reports.
Participate in the development and maintenance of databases and data quality control processes.
Mentor and train junior team members on clinical information science concepts and techniques.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
Proactively identify and escalate issues or risks related to data quality, integrity, and consistency.
Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental strategies and initiatives.
Support and drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes, systems, and tools.
Act as a representative of AstraZeneca by attending conferences and networking events to stay informed on industry trends and developments.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Information Science Or Related Field: A Senior Clinical Information Science Specialist At Astrazeneca Should Have A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Information Science, Library Science, Or A Related Field. This Ensures A Strong Foundation In Research Methods, Data Management, And Information Organization.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Clinical Research Setting: Astrazeneca Requires Its Senior Clinical Information Science Specialists To Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Research Environment. This Experience Should Include Data Management, Literature Reviews, And Familiarity With Clinical Trial Protocols.
Proficiency In Data Analysis And Visualization Tools: In Order To Effectively Manage And Analyze Large Amounts Of Data, A Senior Clinical Information Science Specialist Should Be Proficient In Various Data Analysis And Visualization Tools, Such As Sas, R, Or Tableau.
