Design, develop, and maintain automated systems to support the manufacturing processes of life-saving medicines.
Utilize technical expertise and knowledge of automation, mechanics, and controls to ensure the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with automated systems to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for automated systems to ensure their optimal performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and new automation technologies.
Train and mentor junior automation specialists to ensure their continuous development and growth.
Conduct regular performance evaluations of automated systems and provide recommendations for enhancements or replacements.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies in the design, development, and maintenance of automated systems.
Keep updated with industry advancements and developments in automation, mechanics, and controls to continuously improve processes and systems.
Proactively identify potential issues and provide innovative solutions to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and management to ensure the smooth operation of automated systems.
Support and participate in audits and inspections by regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to other departments as needed.
Act as a subject matter expert for automation, mechanics, and controls and provide guidance and recommendations for future projects and initiatives.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Automation And Controls: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Automation And Controls, With A Strong Understanding Of Mechanical Systems And Machinery. They Should Also Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing Automation Solutions In A Manufacturing Environment.
Proficiency In Programming And Troubleshooting: The Senior Automation Specialist Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Programming Languages Such As Plc, Hmi, And Scada. They Should Also Be Able To Troubleshoot Complex Automation Issues And Provide Effective Solutions.
Strong Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: Astrazeneca Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And The Senior Automation Specialist Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements Such As Fda, Gmp, And Iso. They Should Also Have Experience In Implementing Automation Solutions That Comply With These Regulations.
Project Management Skills: The Senior Automation Specialist Will Be Responsible For Leading Automation Projects, And Therefore, Should Have Excellent Project Management Skills. They Should Be Able To Manage Timelines, Budgets, And Resources Effectively To Ensure Successful Project Delivery.
Team Leadership And Collaboration: Astrazeneca Values Teamwork And Collaboration, And The Senior Automation Specialist Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills To Lead A Team Of Automation Technicians And Engineers.
