Conduct research and experiments to contribute to the development of novel and targeted therapies for cancer patients.
Utilize your strong scientific background in oncology to design and execute experiments and analyze data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medicinal chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists to support drug discovery and development efforts.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of oncology and drug discovery to guide and inform research strategies.
Present research findings and progress updates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Design and implement assays and screens to evaluate the efficacy and safety of potential drug candidates.
Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Contribute to the writing and review of scientific publications and regulatory documents.
Mentor and train junior scientists and interns.
Represent AstraZeneca at scientific conferences and engage in scientific collaborations with external partners.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical and responsible research practices.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field (Such As Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Or Molecular Biology)
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Oncology Drug Discovery, Particularly In Targeted Drug Conjugates
Strong Understanding Of Cancer Biology And Mechanism Of Action For Targeted Therapies
Demonstrated Track Record Of Successful Drug Discovery Projects, Including Publications And/Or Patents
Experience With A Variety Of Drug Discovery Techniques And Technologies, Such As Cell-Based Assays, High-Throughput Screening, And Target Identification/Validation
