Develop and optimize drug products for AstraZeneca's mRNA therapeutics portfolio.
Conduct research and experiments to support drug product development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful completion of drug product projects.
Analyze data and present findings to key stakeholders.
Maintain a deep understanding of current and emerging trends in drug product development.
Design and execute experiments to assess product stability, compatibility, and shelf-life.
Lead and mentor junior scientists in the team.
Develop and implement strategies for process improvement and optimization.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines and standards.
Manage project timelines and resources effectively.
Act as a subject matter expert for drug product development within the company.
Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance drug product development processes.
Work closely with external partners and collaborators to support drug product development activities.
Contribute to the preparation of regulatory submissions and participate in regulatory meetings as needed.
Represent the company at conferences and scientific meetings to share and gain knowledge in drug product development.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and results.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines in the laboratory.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Pharmaceutical Sciences Or Related Field: A Principal Scientist At Astrazeneca Must Have A Minimum Of A Phd In Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Or A Related Field. This Advanced Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Expertise To Lead The Development Of Mrna Cmc Drug Products.
Extensive Experience In Mrna Drug Product Development: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Mrna Drug Product Development, With A Strong Background In Formulation, Process Development, And Manufacturing.
In-Depth Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements: A Principal Scientist At Astrazeneca Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements For Mrna Drug Product Development, Including Fda And International Guidelines. This Knowledge Is Critical In Ensuring The Successful Development And Approval Of New Drug Products.
Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Principal Scientist Must Possess Excellent Leadership And Project Management Skills. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Manage And Mentor A Team Of Scientists, As Well As Coordinate And Lead Cross-Functional Project Teams.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: Astrazeneca Values Collaboration And Teamwork, And The Principal Scientist Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Stakeholders, And External Partners. This Includes The Ability To Present Complex Scientific Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.
