Develop and implement the overall IT strategy for AstraZeneca's RDU Operations team.
Lead and manage the enterprise architecture function, including defining and maintaining enterprise architecture principles, standards, and processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that support business objectives.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams and other stakeholders in the organization.
Lead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, ensuring they align with the company's overall IT strategy.
Oversee the development and maintenance of enterprise architecture artifacts, such as solution architectures, roadmaps, and reference architectures.
Communicate complex technical concepts and strategies to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in enterprise architecture to continuously improve and evolve the organization's IT strategy.
Coach and mentor junior architects and team members to develop their skills and expertise in enterprise architecture.
Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure alignment and integration of the IT strategy with overall business objectives.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and align IT solutions accordingly.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements in all IT processes and initiatives.
Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of the enterprise architecture function, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Proactively identify and mitigate any risks or issues related to enterprise architecture and IT strategy implementation.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization, leveraging technology to drive business growth and efficiency.

Job Qualifications

Strong Technical Knowledge And Expertise: The Principal Enterprise Architect Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of It Systems And Processes, With At Least 10 Years Of Experience In It Architecture Design And Implementation. They Should Also Have A Proven Track Record Of Delivering Complex Enterprise-Level Projects.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Senior-Level Role, The Principal Enterprise Architect Should Have Excellent Leadership And Management Skills To Effectively Lead A Team Of Architects And Engineers. They Should Also Be Able To Collaborate And Communicate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders.
Strategic Thinking And Business Acumen: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strategic Mindset And Be Able To Align It Architecture Plans With The Overall Business Objectives Of Astrazeneca. They Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of The Pharmaceutical Industry And How It Can Support And Drive Business Growth.
Problem-Solving And Decision-Making Abilities: A Principal Enterprise Architect Should Be Able To Identify And Analyze Complex It Challenges And Provide Innovative Solutions. They Should Also Be Able To Make Critical Decisions Quickly And Effectively, Taking Into Account The Impact On Both Technical And Business Aspects.
Continuous Learning And Adaptability: In The Fast-Paced World Of It, It Is Essential For A Principal Enterprise Architect To Continuously Learn And Adapt To New Technologies And Industry Trends. They Should Be Able To Think Outside The Box And Embrace Change To Drive Innovation And Improvement In Rdu Operations It At Astrazeneca.
