- Develop technology strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive technology strategy for the commercial business that aligns with the overall goals and objectives of AstraZeneca.
- Lead data and AI initiatives: Lead the development and implementation of data and AI initiatives to drive innovation, efficiency, and growth within the commercial business.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture: Ensure that all data and AI initiatives align with the company’s overall enterprise architecture and technology roadmap.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT leaders, and external partners, to identify and deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of the commercial business.
- Drive innovation and transformation: Stay informed about emerging data and AI technologies and trends, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage them for business growth and transformation.
- Provide thought leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert and provide thought leadership on data and AI technologies, best practices, and industry trends to inform decision making and support business objectives.
- Manage projects and resources: Manage a team of architects and other resources to ensure successful delivery of data and AI projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Mitigate risks: Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to data and AI initiatives, and proactively develop contingency plans to minimize their impact.
- Foster a culture of innovation: Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the commercial business, and encourage the adoption of new technologies and processes to drive business growth.
- Monitor and report on progress: Monitor and report on the progress and impact of data and AI initiatives, and provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration and teamwork: Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where team members feel supported, empowered, and motivated to achieve their goals.
- Stay compliant with regulations: Ensure that all data and AI initiatives comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, and maintain a high level of data privacy and security.

Extensive Experience In Data And Ai Architecture: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Developing And Implementing Data And Ai Architectures For Large Organizations. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Data Management Principles, Machine Learning Techniques, And Data Governance.
Strong Commercial Acumen: As The Principal Enterprise Architect For Data & Ai Commercial, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Commercial Landscape And How Data And Ai Can Drive Business Growth. They Should Be Able To Identify And Develop Innovative Solutions That Align With The Organization's Commercial Goals.
Leadership And Strategic Thinking: This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Think Strategically. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing A Team Of Architects And Guiding Them Towards The Organization's Long-Term Vision. They Should Also Be Able To Anticipate Future Trends And Develop Strategies To Leverage Data And Ai For Competitive Advantage.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Principal Enterprise Architect Will Be Working Closely With Various Stakeholders, Including Business Leaders, It Teams, And External Partners. Therefore, Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Convey Complex Technical Concepts To Non-Technical Audiences And Build Strong Relationships With Key Stakeholders.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Gea And It Systems: Astrazeneca Is A Global Pharmaceutical Company With A Complex It Landscape. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Organization's Global Enterprise Architecture (Gea) Framework And Its It Systems.
