  1. Conduct epidemiologic studies to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of AstraZeneca's pharmaceutical products.
  2. Analyze real-world data to identify potential safety concerns and inform risk-benefit assessments.
  3. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential safety issues.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate analysis of safety data.
  5. Monitor and communicate safety data to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current regulations and guidelines related to pharmacovigilance and epidemiology.
  7. Provide expertise and support to other departments, such as clinical development and medical affairs, on safety-related matters.
  8. Participate in the design and implementation of post-marketing surveillance studies.
  9. Identify and evaluate potential safety signals from clinical trials, post-marketing data, and literature.
  10. Contribute to the development and maintenance of safety databases and analytical tools.
  11. Prepare and present safety findings to internal and external stakeholders, including at scientific conferences.
  12. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and company policies.
  13. Mentor and train junior team members on epidemiological methods and safety assessment.
  14. Contribute to the continuous improvement of pharmacovigilance processes and procedures.
  15. Act as a representative of AstraZeneca in external scientific and industry forums.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Epidemiology Or A Related Field, Such As Public Health Or Biostatistics.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Conducting Epidemiological Research In The Pharmaceutical Industry Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Understanding Of Drug Safety And Pharmacovigilance Principles And Regulations.

  • Experience With Large Healthcare Databases And Conducting Pharmacoepidemiological Studies.

  • Excellent Analytical Skills And Proficiency In Statistical Software, Such As Sas Or R.
