
Payroll Senior Specialist, People Services

- Process payroll for global employees accurately and efficiently in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, bonuses, and other compensation for all employees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and salary changes.
- Monitor and maintain payroll records, including tax information, deductions, and time and attendance.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Stay up-to-date with changing payroll laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and analyses to management and other stakeholders.
- Assist with year-end activities, including W-2s and reconciliations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and respond to any payroll-related inquiries and concerns.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline payroll processes and systems.
- Train and mentor junior payroll team members.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Collaborate with external payroll vendors, if applicable, to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives related to payroll and/or HR operations.
- Represent AstraZeneca as a subject matter expert in payroll processes and systems.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Payroll Processing And Administration, Preferably In A Large, Global Organization.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Payroll Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices, Including Experience With Multiple Countries' Payroll Requirements.
Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Complex Payroll Issues.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate With Stakeholders At All Levels.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Accounting, Or Related Field Preferred. Professional Payroll Certification (E.g. Cpp, Fpc) Is A Plus.
