
Medical Science Liaison - Rare Disease (6 months contract)

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Medical Science Liaison to join our Rare Disease team on a 6 months contract. As a MSL, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and patient advocacy groups within the rare disease community. - Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and patient advocacy groups within the rare disease community.
- Serve as a scientific expert and resource for internal teams, external stakeholders, and healthcare professionals.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date medical and scientific information on rare diseases and AstraZeneca products to key stakeholders.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders and patient advocacy groups to support the development and commercialization of rare disease therapies.
- Attend and present at medical conferences, symposiums, and other events to educate healthcare professionals and key stakeholders on rare disease treatments and AstraZeneca products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on medical strategies and tactics related to rare diseases.
- Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in the rare disease landscape to inform and guide medical strategy.
- Conduct scientific presentations and trainings for internal and external stakeholders on rare disease topics and AstraZeneca products.
- Represent AstraZeneca and its values of innovation, integrity, and patient focus in all interactions with stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with all internal and external regulations and guidelines related to medical and scientific communications.
- Contribute to the development and execution of medical plans for rare disease therapies.
- Actively participate in team meetings and provide insights and recommendations for enhancing the medical strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the launch and commercialization of rare disease products.
- Support the development and implementation of educational programs and materials for healthcare professionals and patients.
- Continuously evaluate and analyze data and literature to assess the potential impact of new research and developments on rare disease treatments and AstraZeneca products.
Advanced Degree In A Scientific Discipline Such As Pharmacology, Biology, Or Genetics
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Medical Science Liaison In The Pharmaceutical Industry, Preferably In Rare Diseases
In-Depth Knowledge And Understanding Of Rare Diseases And The Current Treatment Landscape
Strong Communication And Presentation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Information To Various Stakeholders
Proven Track Record Of Building And Maintaining Relationships With Key Opinion Leaders And Healthcare Professionals In The Rare Disease Field
