  1. Develop evidence generation strategies: The Medical Evidence Science Lead will be responsible for creating and implementing evidence generation strategies for AstraZeneca's products. This includes identifying key evidence gaps, designing studies, and overseeing their execution.
  2. Lead evidence generation projects: This role will involve leading cross-functional teams to execute evidence generation projects. The Medical Evidence Science Lead will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with company standards.
  3. Stay up-to-date with medical evidence: The successful candidate will be responsible for staying current with the latest developments in medical evidence and incorporating this knowledge into evidence generation strategies.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders: The Medical Evidence Science Lead will work closely with various internal teams, such as R&D, marketing, and market access, to ensure alignment and collaboration on evidence generation. They will also collaborate with external stakeholders, such as KOLs and academic institutions, to gather insights and incorporate them into evidence generation plans.
  5. Manage budgets and resources: As a leader of evidence generation projects, this individual will be responsible for managing budgets and resources effectively to ensure successful project completion.
  6. Ensure compliance with regulations: The Medical Evidence Science Lead will ensure that all evidence generation activities comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  7. Communicate evidence to various audiences: This role will involve communicating evidence to various audiences, including internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. The Medical Evidence Science Lead will be responsible for presenting evidence in a clear, concise, and scientifically sound manner.
  8. Mentor and develop team members: As a leader in the organization, the Medical Evidence Science Lead will be responsible for mentoring and developing team members to ensure a high-performing and motivated team.
  9. Evaluate and adapt evidence generation strategies: This individual will continuously evaluate the effectiveness of evidence generation strategies and make adjustments as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field Such As Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Or Medical Informatics.

  • Extensive Experience In Conducting Medical Data Analysis And Interpretation, Preferably In A Pharmaceutical Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Clinical Research Methodology And Regulatory Requirements Related To Medical Evidence Generation And Submission.

  • Exceptional Project Management Skills And Ability To Lead Cross-Functional Teams To Deliver High-Quality Medical Evidence And Outcomes Research.

  • Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Information To Both Technical And Non-Technical Audiences.
