  1. Develop and lead the local study strategy for AstraZeneca's innovative drug development programs.
  2. Oversee and manage all aspects of local clinical studies, including protocol development, study start-up, and execution.
  3. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical, regulatory, and commercial, to ensure successful study delivery.
  5. Provide leadership and guidance to study team members, including study coordinators, clinical research associates, and other study staff.
  6. Monitor study progress and identify and address any issues or risks that may impact study timelines or quality.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investigators, study sites, and vendors.
  8. Contribute to the development of study budgets and timelines.
  9. Conduct regular reviews of study data and provide updates to the global study team.
  10. Participate in study team meetings and provide regular updates on study progress, issues, and risks.
  11. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all study-related documentation and reports.
  12. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in clinical research and local regulations.
  13. Support the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance study delivery.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  15. Represent AstraZeneca at conferences and other external meetings as needed.
  16. Embody AstraZeneca's values and promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the team.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field, Such As Life Sciences, Pharmacology, Or Medical Research.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Clinical Research Or Drug Development, With A Focus On Local Studies And Regulations.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Local Regulatory Requirements And Processes, Including Ethics Committees And Health Authority Submissions.

  • Experience Managing And Leading Cross-Functional Teams, Including Clinical Operations, Data Management, And Safety And Pharmacovigilance.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Clinical Investigators And External Vendors.
