Develop and implement a comprehensive cell therapy strategy for AstraZeneca.
Lead and manage a team of cell therapy experts to ensure successful execution of the strategy.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and developments in the field of cell therapy.
Identify and evaluate potential cell therapy targets and develop plans for their implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of cell therapy into overall product development plans.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities for the cell therapy program.
Oversee all aspects of cell therapy clinical trials, including protocol design, patient recruitment, and data analysis.
Monitor and track progress of cell therapy projects, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external partners in the cell therapy community.
Represent AstraZeneca at conferences, symposiums, and other industry events to share knowledge and promote the company's cell therapy program.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines related to cell therapy research and development.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the cell therapy team.
Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Communicate progress and updates on the cell therapy program to senior management and other stakeholders.
Contribute to the overall success and growth of AstraZeneca's cell therapy program.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Cell Biology Or Related Field: A Lead Cell Therapy Specialist At Astrazeneca Should Have A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Cell Biology Or A Closely Related Field. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Understanding Of Cellular Mechanisms And Therapy Development.
Extensive Experience In Cell Therapy Development: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Developing Cell Therapy Products, Preferably In A Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Company. This Experience Should Include Designing And Executing Experiments, Managing Cell Lines, And Working With Regulatory Agencies.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Guidelines: As A Lead Cell Therapy Specialist, The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Fda And Ema Regulations For Cell Therapy Products. They Should Be Well-Versed In Current Good Manufacturing Practices (Cgmp) And Have Experience With Regulatory Submissions And Audits.
Strong Leadership Skills: A Lead Cell Therapy Specialist Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Researchers And Scientists. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Mentor Team Members, Delegate Tasks Effectively, And Promote A Collaborative Work Environment.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Abilities: A Key Aspect Of This Role Is The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Departments Such As Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development, And Marketing.
