  1. Develop and implement strategic plans to build and maintain strong relationships with Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
  2. Serve as the main point of contact for CRO partners and ensure effective communication and collaboration between AstraZeneca and the CROs.
  3. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key CRO partners and develop tailored plans to meet their specific needs.
  4. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential business opportunities and risks.
  5. Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements with CROs, ensuring alignment with AstraZeneca's business objectives.
  6. Lead and mentor a team of account managers to ensure consistent and effective management of CRO relationships.
  7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and finance teams, to drive successful partnerships with CROs.
  8. Act as a subject matter expert on the CRO industry and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  9. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AstraZeneca's products and services to effectively promote and support collaborations with CROs.
  10. Represent AstraZeneca at industry events and conferences to network and build relationships with potential CRO partners.
  11. Proactively identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise in CRO partnerships, working towards timely and effective resolutions.
  12. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of CRO partnerships, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans to address them.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in all interactions with CRO partners.
  14. Contribute to the development and implementation of overall business strategies to achieve AstraZeneca's goals and objectives.
  15. Act as a brand ambassador for AstraZeneca, upholding the company's values and promoting a positive image at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry: A Key Account Leader At Astrazeneca Must Have A Strong Background And Understanding Of The Pharmaceutical Industry, Specifically In The Area Of Contract Research Organizations (Cros). This Includes Knowledge Of Industry Trends, Regulations, And Best Practices.

  • Proven Track Record Of Sales And Account Management: A Successful Key Account Leader Must Have A Strong Track Record Of Sales And Account Management, Preferably In The Cro Space. This Includes Experience In Developing And Executing Strategic Account Plans, Achieving Sales Targets, And Building Strong Relationships With Key Clients.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: A Key Account Leader Must Possess Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team, As Well As To Build And Maintain Relationships With Clients. This Includes The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Effectively With Stakeholders At All Levels.

  • Business Acumen And Strategic Thinking: A Successful Key Account Leader Must Have A Strong Business Acumen And Strategic Thinking Skills To Identify And Capitalize On New Business Opportunities, As Well As To Develop And Implement Effective Account Plans. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Market Trends, Understand Customer Needs, And Make Data-Driven Decisions.

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Business, Marketing, Or A Related Field: A Key Account Leader At Astrazeneca Is Typically Required To Have A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Business, Marketing, Or Life Sciences. This Provides A Strong Foundation In Business Principles And Industry-Specific Knowledge That Is Essential For Success In This Role.
