Develop and execute health economics and payer evidence strategies to support the commercialization of AstraZeneca's products.
Lead and manage a team of health economics and payer evidence professionals to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including market access, medical affairs, and commercial teams, to ensure alignment and integration of health economics and payer evidence objectives.
Conduct health economic analysis and generate evidence to demonstrate the value and cost-effectiveness of AstraZeneca's products to payers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, health technology assessment bodies, and patient advocacy groups, to understand their needs and incorporate their input into health economics and payer evidence strategies.
Stay up-to-date with trends and changes in global healthcare systems, payer policies, and regulations to inform health economics and payer evidence strategies.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to design and conduct real-world evidence studies, including observational studies and patient registries.
Provide strategic input and recommendations to cross-functional teams on pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies based on health economics and payer evidence.
Represent AstraZeneca at conferences and meetings to present health economics and payer evidence and engage with key stakeholders.
Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and capabilities in health economics and payer evidence generation.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Economics, Health Economics, Or A Related Field: A Health Economics & Payer Evidence Director At Astrazeneca Is Expected To Have A Deep Understanding Of Health Economics Principles And Methods. A Graduate Degree In Economics, Health Economics, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Role.
Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry: Astrazeneca Is A Global Pharmaceutical Company, So Experience Within The Industry Is Highly Valued For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Drug Development And Commercialization Process, As Well As An Understanding Of The Payer Landscape.
Expertise In Health Economics And Outcomes Research (Heor): The Health Economics & Payer Evidence Director Is Responsible For Developing And Executing Heor Strategies To Support Market Access And Reimbursement For Astrazeneca's Products. Therefore, Candidates Should Have A Strong Background In Heor, Including Experience Conducting Cost-Effectiveness Analyses, Budget Impact Analyses, And Real-World Evidence Studies.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Manage A Team And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Colleagues. The Health Economics & Payer Evidence Director Is Also Responsible For Managing Multiple Projects Simultaneously And Ensuring They Are Completed On Time And Within Budget. Therefore, Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing Projects.
Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills: The Health Economics & Payer Evidence Director Will Need To Effectively Communicate Complex Health Economic Data To A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Payers, Healthcare Providers, And Internal Teams At Astrazeneca. Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Deliver Compelling Presentations, Are Essential For This Role.
