  1. Lead the development and implementation of payer evidence plans for AstraZeneca products, ensuring alignment with overall market access and commercial strategies.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, commercial, and external partners, to generate high-quality evidence to support product value propositions and reimbursement.
  3. Conduct health economic analyses and develop economic models to demonstrate the value of AstraZeneca products to payers and other stakeholders.
  4. Stay updated on the evolving healthcare landscape and payer environment to inform payer evidence strategies and adapt to changes in market access requirements.
  5. Work closely with global and regional teams to ensure consistency and alignment of payer evidence plans across markets.
  6. Manage external vendors and consultants to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of payer evidence projects.
  7. Present evidence and value propositions to payer stakeholders, including payers, health technology assessment bodies, and other decision-makers.
  8. Provide guidance and support to the market access and commercial teams in the development and execution of pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies.
  9. Participate in internal and external conferences and meetings to represent AstraZeneca and share knowledge and expertise in health economics and payer evidence.
  10. Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Health Economics Or Related Field: A Successful Candidate For The Health Economics & Payer Evidence Director Position At Astrazeneca Should Possess An Advanced Degree (Such As A Phd Or Master's) In Health Economics, Health Policy, Health Services Research, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Health Economics Or Market Access: Astrazeneca Is Seeking A Candidate With A Strong Background And Extensive Experience In Health Economics, Market Access, And/Or Pricing And Reimbursement. The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In These Areas, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Industry.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successful Market Access And Pricing Strategies: The Health Economics & Payer Evidence Director Will Be Responsible For Developing And Implementing Market Access And Pricing Strategies For Astrazeneca's Products. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Creating And Executing Successful Strategies That Have Resulted In Positive Outcomes For The Company.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Healthcare Systems And Payer Environments: A Deep Understanding Of Healthcare Systems And Payer Environments Is Crucial For The Health Economics & Payer Evidence Director Role. The Candidate Should Have A Comprehensive Knowledge Of Healthcare Systems And Payer Policies And Practices, Both Globally And In Key Markets.

  • Strong Analytical And Communication Skills: The Health Economics & Payer Evidence Director Will Be Required To Analyze Complex Data And Communicate Findings And Recommendations To Various Stakeholders, Including Internal Teams, External Partners, And Payers. The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills And Be Able To Effectively Communicate Technical Information To Non-Technical Audiences.
