Develop and implement global clinical operations strategies and plans to support the successful execution and delivery of clinical trials.
Lead and manage a team of clinical operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and company policies throughout the entire clinical trial process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain effective communication, collaboration, and alignment on clinical trial objectives and timelines.
Monitor and track progress of clinical trials, identifying and addressing any potential risks or issues that may impact timelines or study outcomes.
Oversee budget and resource allocations for clinical operations programs, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources.
Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and key stakeholders to support the successful execution of clinical trials.
Provide regular updates and reports on the progress of clinical operations programs to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
Continuously assess and improve processes and procedures related to clinical operations to drive efficiency and quality in clinical trial execution.
Represent AstraZeneca at industry conferences and events, promoting the company's reputation as a leader in global clinical operations.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Clinical Operations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Clinical Operations, Preferably In A Global Setting. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Clinical Trial Processes And Regulations, As Well As Experience Managing Multiple Complex Trials Simultaneously.
Leadership Skills: This Role Requires A Strong Leader Who Can Effectively Manage A Team Of Clinical Operations Professionals. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Developing And Motivating Teams, As Well As The Ability To Make Strategic Decisions And Drive Results.
Global Experience: Astrazeneca Is A Global Company, So The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working In A Global Or Multi-National Environment. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Global Clinical Trial Regulations And Be Able To Adapt To Different Cultural And Geographical Contexts.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Global Clinical Operations Program Director, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Communicating With A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Cross-Functional Teams, External Partners, And Senior Management. Therefore, Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential.
Strong Project Management Skills: This Role Involves Overseeing Complex Clinical Trial Programs, So The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Projects From Start To Finish. They Should Have Experience In Budget Management, Resource Allocation, And Risk Management, As Well As The Ability To Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
