Lead the development and implementation of global product strategy for the oncology portfolio.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key areas for innovation and growth in the oncology field.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the oncology research and development team.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Ensure alignment of global product strategy with overall business objectives.
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and patient needs to inform product development.
Manage and allocate resources effectively to support the development of new oncology treatments.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on product strategy and progress.
Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including academic institutions and biotech companies, to identify potential collaborations and opportunities for growth.
Represent the company at industry conferences and events to showcase our oncology portfolio and thought leadership.
Collaborate with commercial teams to ensure successful launch and commercialization of new oncology products.
Stay updated on regulations and guidelines related to oncology drug development and ensure compliance in all activities.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Oncology Drug Development: The Executive Director Global Product Leader Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Leading And Managing Oncology Drug Development Programs, Preferably In A Global Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Company. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Drug Development Process, Regulatory Requirements, And Market Dynamics In The Oncology Space.
Strong Leadership And Strategic Thinking Skills: This Role Requires A Highly Skilled Leader Who Can Drive And Align Cross-Functional Teams Towards A Common Goal. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading Global Product Development Teams And Launching Oncology Products In The Market. They Should Also Possess Strong Strategic Thinking Abilities And Be Able To Anticipate And Navigate Potential Challenges And Roadblocks.
In-Depth Knowledge Of The Oncology Landscape: A Thorough Understanding Of The Current And Emerging Trends In The Oncology Market Is Essential For This Role. The Executive Director Global Product Leader Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Competitive Landscape, Disease Biology, And Treatment Options In The Oncology Space. They Should Also Be Able To Identify And Evaluate Potential Partnership Opportunities And Assess The Commercial Potential Of New Oncology Products.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As The Global Product Leader, This Role Requires Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills To Engage And Influence Stakeholders At All Levels, Including Senior Leadership, External Partners, And Key Opinion Leaders. The Ideal Candidate Should Be A Team Player Who Can Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Information To Non-Technical Audiences.
Advanced Degree In Life Sciences: Astrazeneca Is A Leading Pharmaceutical Company With A Strong Focus On Scientific Innovation. The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have An Advanced Degree In A Relevant Discipline Such As Medicine, Pharmacy, Or Life Sciences. A Phd Or Md Is Preferred, But A Master's Degree With Significant Experience In Oncology Drug Development May Also Be Considered.
