  1. Lead and oversee all aspects of virology research at AstraZeneca, including strategy development, project management, and resource allocation.

  8. Manage the budget and resources for virology research, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
  9. Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities in virology research to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve the virology research process to drive innovation and maximize impact on patient lives.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Virology Or A Related Field (E.g. Microbiology, Immunology)

  • Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Virology Research, Preferably In A Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Company

  • Proven Track Record Of Leading And Managing Teams In A Research And Development Environment

  • Extensive Knowledge And Understanding Of Viral Diseases And Their Mechanisms Of Infection And Treatment

  • Strong Publication Record And Demonstrated Ability To Contribute To The Scientific Community Through Presentations, Publications, And Collaborations.
