- Develop and implement safety strategies and processes to ensure the well-being of patients within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Lead and manage a team of safety scientists to drive continuous improvement and achieve organizational objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including medical and regulatory teams, to ensure alignment and collaboration on patient safety initiatives.
- Oversee the conduct of pharmacovigilance activities, including signal detection, risk management, and benefit-risk assessment.
- Monitor and analyze safety data from clinical trials, post-marketing surveillance, and other sources to identify potential safety concerns.
- Provide expert safety input and guidance to cross-functional teams involved in drug development and commercialization.
- Collaborate with global safety teams to ensure consistency and compliance with global safety regulations and guidelines.
- Continuously assess and improve patient safety processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the current safety landscape and trends within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Represent the organization at relevant safety conferences and meetings, and actively contribute to industry-wide initiatives to improve patient safety.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of safety activities.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to promote their professional growth.
- Stay informed about emerging safety issues and proactively communicate potential risks to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management plans for new and existing products.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of safety data to regulatory authorities in compliance with regulations and timelines.
- Foster a culture of safety and accountability within the organization, promoting a patient-centric approach in all activities.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in relevant regulations and guidelines, and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of safety activities.
- Represent the organization in interactions with external partners, including regulatory agencies, vendors, and industry groups. 20
Advanced Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field Such As Pharmacy, Medicine, Or Public Health.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Patient Safety, Pharmacovigilance, Or Drug Safety Within The Pharmaceutical Industry.
Demonstrated Leadership Experience, Including Managing Teams And Developing Strategies For Patient Safety.
Proven Track Record Of Successful Interactions With Regulatory Agencies And Knowledge Of Global Pharmacovigilance Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interface With Cross-Functional Teams And External Stakeholders.
