Develop and implement business plans for the Oncology R&D division, in alignment with company goals and objectives.
Drive operational efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvements, cost-saving measures, and resource optimization strategies.
Support senior leadership in making critical decisions by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform strategic planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of business plans and initiatives.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators and financial metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Lead the development and execution of strategic projects and initiatives to drive innovation and growth in the field of oncology research and development.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to support business objectives.
Stay abreast of advancements and changes in the oncology landscape, and proactively identify and pursue opportunities for AstraZeneca.
Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to build a high-performing and motivated team.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Oncology R&D: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Background And Expertise In The Field Of Oncology Research And Development. This Includes A Deep Understanding Of The Drug Development Process, Clinical Trial Design, And Regulatory Requirements Specific To Oncology.
Strategic Planning And Business Acumen: The Director Of Business Planning And Operations Must Have Excellent Strategic Planning Skills And A Strong Business Acumen To Effectively Drive The Overall Business Strategy For Astrazeneca's Oncology R&D Division. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Market Trends, Identify Growth Opportunities, And Develop Plans To Maximize The Division's Performance.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills: As A Key Leader In The Oncology R&D Division, The Director Must Possess Exceptional Leadership And Management Skills. This Includes The Ability To Build And Lead High-Performing Teams, Foster A Collaborative And Inclusive Work Environment, And Effectively Manage Resources And Budgets.
