Conduct research and development activities to advance innovative cell therapies for the treatment of serious diseases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and production of cutting-edge cell therapies.
Utilize expertise in cell therapy manufacturing to optimize processes and ensure high-quality product output.
Support the design and execution of experiments to evaluate and improve cell therapy products.
Analyze and interpret experimental data to inform decision-making and troubleshoot issues.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and results.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cell therapy technology.
Contribute to the writing and review of technical documents, including standard operating procedures and batch records.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including FDA and GMP standards.
Train and mentor junior team members in cell therapy techniques and procedures.
Communicate effectively with project teams and management to provide updates and progress reports.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and achieve project goals.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety and product quality.
Collaborate with external partners and vendors as needed to support cell therapy development and production.
Represent the company at scientific conferences and events to share knowledge and promote AstraZeneca's expertise in cell therapy.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Cell Biology Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Cell Biology, Immunology, Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Understanding Of Cellular Processes And Can Contribute To The Development Of Cell Therapy Products.
Experience In Cell Therapy: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Cell Therapy Is Required For This Role. This Includes Experience In Cell Culture, Process Development, And Characterization Of Cell-Based Products.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: The Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Fda And Ema Regulations And Guidelines Related To Cell Therapy Products. This Includes Knowledge Of Gmp, Glp, And Other Relevant Regulatory Requirements.
Ability To Work In A Cross-Functional Team: The Associate Specialist Will Be Working With A Diverse Team Of Scientists, Researchers, And Clinicians. Therefore, Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills: Cell Therapy Development Involves Complex Processes And Data Analysis. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Attention To Detail And Strong Analytical Skills To Ensure Accuracy And Quality Of Data And Results.
