Job Description

As an Associate Principal Scientist in the Immunology Cell Therapy Discovery team at AstraZeneca, you will play a critical role in developing cutting-edge cell-based therapies to treat immune-related diseases.   1. Lead and drive the development of novel cell-based therapies for immune-related diseases, in collaboration with a team of scientists.
  2. Utilize your expertise in immunology and cell therapy to design, plan and execute experiments, and analyze and interpret data.
  3. Stay up-to-date with current literature and trends in the field of immunology and cell therapy, and apply this knowledge to advance research projects.
  4. Identify and develop new technologies, assays, and models to enhance the understanding and efficacy of cell-based therapies.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the company, including translational and clinical research, to progress projects towards clinical development.
  6. Mentor and supervise junior scientists, providing guidance and support in their research activities.
  7. Contribute to the preparation and review of scientific publications and presentations, as well as patent applications.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and safety guidelines.
  9. Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and protocols to increase efficiency and productivity.
  11. Represent the company at scientific conferences and meetings, presenting research findings and networking with other professionals in the field.
  12. Act as a key contributor to the overall strategy and direction of the Immunology Cell Therapy Discovery team.
  13. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centric research and the company's mission to improve patient outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Immunology Or Related Field: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Phd Or Equivalent Degree In Immunology Or A Related Field, With A Strong Understanding Of Cell Biology And Immunology.

  • Extensive Experience In Cell Therapy Discovery: The Associate Principal Scientist Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Cell Therapy Discovery, With A Proven Track Record Of Developing Successful Cell Therapy Products.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Immune Cell Function: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Immune System And Its Role In Disease, As Well As Experience In Designing And Executing Experiments To Study Immune Cell Function.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills: As An Associate Principal Scientist, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Scientists. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Management Skills Are Essential, Along With The Ability To Collaborate And Communicate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams.
