- Develop and implement strategic scientific communication plans for assigned therapeutic areas.
- Lead a team of scientific communication professionals to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of scientific materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical, marketing, and regulatory, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
- Serve as a key point of contact for external thought leaders and internal stakeholders regarding scientific communication strategies and initiatives.
- Stay current with the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry and apply this knowledge to inform communication strategies.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and budget requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards and guidelines in all scientific communications.
- Develop relationships with external partners, including medical societies and publications, to enhance the company's scientific reputation.
- Oversee the creation and dissemination of scientific content, including publications, presentations, and educational materials.
- Continuously evaluate and improve upon existing communication processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and advance their careers within the company.
- Represent the company at scientific conferences and meetings, presenting scientific data and engaging with key opinion leaders.
- Collaborate with market access teams to ensure scientific messaging is aligned with commercial strategies.
- Track and report on the impact of scientific communications on key performance indicators.
- Uphold the company's commitment to patient-centricity by ensuring that all communications accurately represent the needs and perspectives of patients.
Advanced Degree In Life Sciences: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Possess A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field, Such As Biology, Pharmacology, Or Medicine.
Significant Experience In Scientific Communications: The Ideal Candidate Will Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In A Scientific Communications Role, With A Proven Track Record Of Developing And Executing Strategic Communication Plans.
Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills: As An Associate Director, Scientific Communications Lead, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team And Overseeing Multiple Projects. The Candidate Should Have Demonstrated Experience In Effectively Leading And Managing Teams And Projects.
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills: The Role Will Require The Candidate To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Information To Various Stakeholders, Including Internal Teams, External Partners, And Key Opinion Leaders. Therefore, Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are Essential.
