- Oversee and manage the raw material supply chain for AstraZeneca, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality materials.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to establish and maintain strong relationships and ensure reliable and consistent supply of raw materials.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and industry developments to make informed decisions regarding raw material sourcing and pricing.
- Lead and coach a team of raw material specialists to ensure a high level of performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and mitigate any potential risks or disruptions in the raw material supply chain, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development and ensure raw materials are available in a timely manner.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and company policies related to raw material sourcing and management.
- Develop and report on key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the raw material supply chain.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the raw material supply chain.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Raw Materials Sourcing, Procurement, And Supply Chain Management In The Pharmaceutical Industry
Strong Knowledge Of Current Regulations And Guidelines Related To Raw Material Sourcing, Quality Control, And Compliance (E.g. Gmp, Fda, Ich)
Proven Leadership Skills And Experience In Managing And Developing A Team Of Raw Material Specialists
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Cross-Functionally With Other Departments Such As R&D, Quality Assurance, And Manufacturing.
