The Electrical Technician will support the buildup of a new test program and install, monitor and maintain power systems on test programs at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). Install, troubleshoot and repair motors, lighting and plug circuits, electrical control equipment, transformers, wiring, conduit and switch/circuit breaker equipment, fixtures and ballasts, and other types of electrical and power systems up to 480vac 3 phase. Work from plans, sketches, blueprints, work orders or other instructions; interpret electrical plans and specifications; check for compliance with codes. Estimate cost of labor and materials for projects or work orders; requisition parts or supplies as needed. Clean, test, troubleshoot and repair high voltage equipment as necessary up to 480v 3phase.
