ASOS plc is seeking an experienced Buying Assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is passionate about retail and fashion and has an eye for detail when it comes to finding the right products for our customers. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years of buying experience in a multi-channel retail environment, and a good understanding of the fashion industry. You must also have excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Source and select products for customers in line with the ASOS product strategy.
- Monitor the performance of products on the website and take appropriate buying decisions.
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate terms and ensure a timely flow of products.
- Monitor the progress of deliveries to ensure products are in line with scheduled delivery dates.
- Analyse sales figures and use insights to make informed buying decisions.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of buying reports for senior management.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure all products adhere to company guidelines and legal requirements.
- Attend buying meetings, fashion shows, and industry events to stay up to date with the latest trends.
- Provide support and guidance to junior buying team members.
