
Buying Assistant
Welcome to the exciting opportunity to join the ASOS plc team as a Buying Assistant! We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual who has a passion for fashion and retail. You will be part of our dynamic Buying team, responsible for maintaining the smooth running of the department and assisting with the day-to-day tasks within the team. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. We require the following qualifications for this role: a minimum of one year of retail/buying experience, strong IT skills, and an in-depth understanding of the retail industry. Responsibilities:
- Monitor the buying team’s daily tasks and ensure that they are completed in an efficient manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the Buying team’s objectives are met.
- Utilize strong IT skills to manage the team’s data and reports.
- Analyze the retail industry and stay up to date with the latest trends.
- Assist with the selection of product ranges and ensure that they meet the company’s standards.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers.
- Liaise with other teams to ensure that the buying process is smooth and efficient.
- Provide guidance and support to the team and ensure that all tasks are completed on time.
- Develop strategies to improve the buying process and ensure that it is cost-effective.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to be used in the buying process.
