Welcome to the exciting opportunity to join the ASOS plc team as a Buying Assistant! We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual who has a passion for fashion and retail. You will be part of our dynamic Buying team, responsible for maintaining the smooth running of the department and assisting with the day-to-day tasks within the team. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. We require the following qualifications for this role: a minimum of one year of retail/buying experience, strong IT skills, and an in-depth understanding of the retail industry. A degree in a related field would be an advantage.If you feel that you meet these requirements, then we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor the buying team’s daily tasks and ensure that they are completed in an efficient manner.
  2. Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the Buying team’s objectives are met.
  3. Utilize strong IT skills to manage the team’s data and reports.
  4. Analyze the retail industry and stay up to date with the latest trends.
  5. Assist with the selection of product ranges and ensure that they meet the company’s standards.
  6. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers.
  7. Liaise with other teams to ensure that the buying process is smooth and efficient.
  8. Provide guidance and support to the team and ensure that all tasks are completed on time.
  9. Develop strategies to improve the buying process and ensure that it is cost-effective.
  10. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to be used in the buying process.
