  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the receiving team in the distribution center.
  2. Develop and implement efficient and organized receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate receipt of merchandise.
  3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
  4. Train, coach, and mentor team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  5. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote continuous improvement.
  6. Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment by fostering teamwork, open communication, and a strong work ethic.
  7. Collaborate with other department supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient flow of merchandise through the distribution center.
  8. Monitor and analyze receiving metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as safety regulations.
  10. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices.
  11. Communicate with vendors and carriers to resolve any issues related to receiving and inventory.
  12. Prepare and maintain reports on receiving activities, inventory levels, and other relevant data.
  13. Assist with the hiring and training of new team members as needed.
  14. Act as a liaison between the receiving department and other departments within the company.
  15. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategic plans to improve overall distribution center operations.
