- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Casegoods Fabrication department to ensure production meets company standards and timelines.
- Lead and motivate a team of skilled craftsmen to ensure quality and efficiency in the fabrication process.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and supplies needed for production.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as design and engineering, to ensure the fabrication process aligns with product specifications.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing training and development for current team members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to improve production and quality.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment for all employees.
- Troubleshoot any production issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve consistency and quality in the fabrication process.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in woodworking and furniture construction techniques.
- Communicate with upper management on production progress, challenges, and any potential issues that may impact production.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and in good working condition.

Experience In Casegoods Fabrication: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Casegoods Fabrication, Preferably In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Different Materials, Equipment, And Processes Used In Furniture Production.
Leadership And Management Skills: A Supervisor In Casegoods Fabrication Should Possess Strong Leadership And Management Skills To Effectively Oversee A Team Of Production Workers. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Motivate Employees, And Resolve Conflicts In A Professional Manner.
Knowledge Of Quality Control: Quality Control Is Crucial In The Furniture Manufacturing Industry. A Supervisor Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Quality Control Processes, Including Inspections, Testing, And Ensuring All Products Meet Company Standards.
Technical Skills: This Position Requires A Candidate Who Is Technically Skilled In Casegoods Fabrication Processes And Equipment. This Includes Knowledge Of Saws, Routers, Sanders, And Other Tools Used In Furniture Production. Experience With Computer-Aided Design (Cad) Software And Other Computer Programs Used In Furniture Design And Production Is Also Beneficial.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Supervisor, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Effectively Managing A Team. This Includes The Ability To Communicate Expectations, Provide Feedback, And Work Collaboratively With Other Departments To Ensure Production Goals Are Met.
