Job Description

Are you a skilled mechanic with a passion for ensuring vehicles are running at their best? Do you have experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles in a fast-paced environment? If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you! Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Distribution Center Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for keeping our fleet of vehicles in top condition to support our distribution center operations. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, then we want to hear from you!

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on a variety of vehicles including trucks, forklifts, and other distribution center equipment.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections to identify and troubleshoot any mechanical issues.
  3. Complete repairs and replacements of vehicle components as needed.
  4. Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with equipment and vehicles.
  5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work for each vehicle.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any vehicle issues or concerns.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and techniques for vehicle maintenance and repair.
  8. Ensure all vehicles are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  9. Monitor inventory and order necessary parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
  10. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective vehicle maintenance practices.

  • Proficiency In Vehicle Maintenance And Repair: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Vehicle Maintenance And Be Able To Diagnose And Resolve Mechanical Issues Quickly And Efficiently.

  • Knowledge Of Distribution Center Operations: A Thorough Understanding Of Distribution Center Operations, Including Vehicle Utilization, Scheduling, And Safety Protocols, Is Essential For This Role.

  • Experience With Various Vehicle Types: The Role May Require The Maintenance And Repair Of Various Types Of Vehicles, Including Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, And Delivery Trucks. Therefore, Experience With These Types Of Vehicles Is Preferred.
