  1. Safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport furniture products to various locations.
  2. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
  3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
  4. Plan and follow the most efficient route for each delivery to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  5. Load and unload furniture products from the vehicle using proper lifting techniques.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs and reports.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with customers and addressing any delivery concerns or issues.
  8. Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate and efficient loading and unloading of products.
  9. Follow company policies and procedures regarding vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
  10. Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  11. Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents immediately to the appropriate parties.
  12. Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment with team members and supervisors.
  13. Continuously strive to improve driving skills and stay up-to-date on industry regulations and standards.
  14. Comply with all company and government regulations and guidelines for the transportation of goods.
  15. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the delivery process.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl): This Is A Must-Have Qualification For Any Cdl Driver Job At Ashley Furniture Industries. Candidates Must Possess A Valid Cdl With The Appropriate Endorsements For The Type Of Vehicle They Will Be Operating.

  • Clean Driving Record: As A Cdl Driver, You Will Be Responsible For Transporting Valuable Goods And Materials. Therefore, Ashley Furniture Industries Requires Candidates To Have A Clean Driving Record With No Major Violations, Accidents, Or Suspensions.

  • Physical Fitness: Cdl Drivers Are Required To Perform Physically Demanding Tasks Such As Loading And Unloading Heavy Furniture. Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift And Carry Heavy Objects On A Regular Basis.

  • Knowledge Of Dot Regulations: Ashley Furniture Industries Operates In Compliance With The Department Of Transportation (Dot) Regulations. Therefore, Candidates Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Regulations And Be Able To Adhere To Them At All Times.

  • Prior Experience: While Not Always A Requirement, Prior Experience As A Cdl Driver Is Preferred By Ashley Furniture Industries. Candidates With Experience In The Furniture Or Transportation Industry Will Have An Advantage In The Hiring Process.
