Unit Assistant - Cardiovascular

1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the unit in a warm and friendly manner.
2. Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
3. Maintain patient records and charts, including documentation of vital signs, test results, and other important information.
4. Coordinate and schedule appointments, procedures, and tests for patients.
5. Communicate with healthcare team members, including nurses and physicians, to ensure seamless patient care.
6. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, restocking as needed.
7. Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
8. Provide support to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
9. Assist with patient transport and mobility, as needed.
10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and patient confidentiality.
11. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
12. Collaborate with other unit assistants and staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
13. Handle and prioritize multiple tasks, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
14. Take initiative to identify and address any potential issues or concerns in the unit.
