
Unit Assistant - Cardiovascular

- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the unit in a warm and friendly manner.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain patient records and charts, including documentation of vital signs, test results, and other important information.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, procedures, and tests for patients.
- Communicate with healthcare team members, including nurses and physicians, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, restocking as needed.
- Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Provide support to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Assist with patient transport and mobility, as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and patient confidentiality.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other unit assistants and staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Handle and prioritize multiple tasks, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
