  1. Perform diagnostic sonography procedures accurately and efficiently, following established protocols and safety measures.
  2. Utilize advanced knowledge of sonography equipment and techniques to produce high-quality images for interpretation by physicians.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques and protocols for each patient.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  5. Educate patients about the procedure and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
  6. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  7. Keep accurate and detailed records of procedures performed, patient information, and any pertinent data.
  8. Continuously strive to improve knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of new protocols and procedures to improve patient care and department efficiency.
  10. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient satisfaction and provide compassionate, personalized care to all patients.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  12. Adhere to all safety protocols and policies to maintain a safe work environment for yourself, colleagues, and patients.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including monitoring and evaluating the quality of sonography images and procedures.
  14. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  15. Represent Ascension Health in a professional and positive manner at all times, both internally and externally.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field.

  • Ardms (American Registry Of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) Certification In Specialty Area.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Clinical Sonography.

  • Knowledge Of Ultrasound Equipment And Ability To Troubleshoot Technical Issues.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact Effectively With Patients And Medical Staff.
