- Operating and maintaining surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Ensuring proper handling and disposal of surgical specimens and hazardous materials.
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.

- Participating in ongoing education and training to stay updated on the latest advancements in surgical technology.
- Providing emotional support to patients and their families before, during, and after surgical procedures.

- Assisting with the transportation of patients to and from the operating room.
- Continuously monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of surgical supplies and equipment.

Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technologist Program: Ascension Health Requires All Surgical Technologists To Have Completed A Formal Education Program In Surgical Technology From An Accredited Institution. Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential: Ascension Health Prefers Candidates Who Have Obtained Their Cst Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).
