  5. Monitor and anticipate the needs of surgeons during procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Education And Certification: A Surgical Technologist At Ascension Health Must Have Completed An Accredited Surgical Technology Program And Hold A Certification From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Proficient Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Surgical Procedures, Instruments, And Equipment Used In The Operating Room.

  • Attention To Detail And Strong Organizational Skills: The Role Of A Surgical Technologist Requires A High Level Of Accuracy And Precision. The Candidate Must Be Able To Anticipate The Needs Of The Surgical Team And Maintain A Sterile Environment During Procedures.
