1. Prepare operating room for surgical procedures by setting up equipment and instruments according to the surgical team's specifications.
2. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies in a timely manner.
3. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room at all times.
4. Assist the surgical team with gowning and gloving, as well as draping the patient.
5. Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly sterilized and functioning.
6. Collaborate with other members of the surgical team to ensure the safe and efficient flow of the procedure.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
8. Keep accurate records of surgical procedures, including patient information, supplies used, and any complications that may arise.
9. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing reassurance and answering any questions they may have.
10. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on surgical techniques and procedures.
