In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgical department by coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures for our patients.   1. Schedule and coordinate surgical procedures for patients, ensuring all necessary resources and equipment are available.
  2. Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to gather necessary information and schedule surgeries in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date surgical schedules and records.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of surgical procedures.
  5. Use electronic medical records and scheduling systems to manage surgical schedules and patient information.
  6. Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorization for surgical procedures.
  7. Educate patients on pre and post-operative instructions and answer any questions or concerns.
  8. Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on surgical procedures, techniques, and equipment.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  12. Collaborate with surgical team to ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available for procedures.
  13. Monitor and track surgical schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of procedures.
  14. Maintain accurate and organized records of surgical procedures, including patient information, surgical notes, and post-operative instructions.
  15. Assist with other administrative duties as needed to support the surgical department.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Surgical Scheduling Or A Related Healthcare Field.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Familiarity With Surgical Procedures.

  • Proficiency In Scheduling Software And Electronic Health Records.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
