As a Surgical Scheduler, you will work closely with surgeons and patients to coordinate and schedule surgical procedures.   1. Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Work closely with surgeons to understand their schedules and availability.
  3. Communicate with patients to gather necessary information and provide pre-operative instructions.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules for surgical procedures.
  5. Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and seamless patient care.
  7. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to accurately schedule surgeries.
  8. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
  9. Address any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  11. Develop and maintain positive relationships with surgeons, patients, and other healthcare staff.
  12. Stay updated on industry changes and updates related to surgical scheduling.
  13. Assist in the development and implementation of new scheduling processes and procedures.
  14. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and schedules simultaneously.
  15. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient satisfaction throughout the scheduling process.
