High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Typically Required For A Sterile Processing Technician Position At Ascension Health.
Sterile Processing Certification: Candidates Should Possess A Sterile Processing Technician Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd) Or The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (Iahcsmm).
Knowledge Of Sterilization And Disinfection Techniques: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Different Methods And Techniques Used To Sterilize And Disinfect Medical Equipment, Instruments, And Supplies To Ensure Patient Safety.
