Job Description

Ascension Health is seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neurology Residency team. As an RN Residency, you will have the opportunity to explore and grow your clinical skills while providing critical care to our neurological patients. You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative team dedicated to providing the highest quality patient care possible.The ideal candidate for this role will have at least two years of experience working as an RN in the neurology field, along with a current RN license and BSN degree. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide critical care to neurological patients.
  2. Utilize clinical skills to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care.
  3. Implement evidence-based care plans and document all patient care activities.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the best patient outcomes.
  5. Educate patients and families on treatments and medications.
  6. Monitor vital signs, vital signs, and other health parameters.
  7. Maintain accurate medical records and follow up with patients as needed.
  8. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  10. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn Licensure In State Of Practice

  • Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing With A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree

  • At Least One Year Of Acute Care Experience

  • Current Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls)

  • Ability To Demonstrate A Commitment To Patient Care Excellence
