Respiratory Therapy Intern

1. Assist with providing respiratory therapy services to patients under the supervision of licensed respiratory therapists.
2. Attend and actively participate in educational and training sessions to develop practical skills and gain knowledge in respiratory therapy.
3. Collaborate with a team of respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
4. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care, progress, and outcomes.
5. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide education and support.
7. Take initiative to identify and report any changes in patient conditions to the supervising respiratory therapist.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for improving patient care and outcomes.
9. Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and empathy towards patients, families, and coworkers.
10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the delivery of respiratory therapy services.
11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA guidelines.
12. Display a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as directed by the supervising respiratory therapist.
13. Attend team meetings and participate in discussions to provide input and suggestions for improving department processes and procedures.

15. Complete all assignments and duties in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
