  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality healthcare services to students in the school setting.
  2. Assess and monitor the health needs of students and develop individualized care plans.
  3. Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to promote and maintain optimal health for students.
  5. Educate students and families on health-related topics and preventive care measures.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all students.
  7. Respond to and manage medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
  8. Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify any potential health issues.
  9. Develop and implement health policies and procedures in accordance with school and state regulations.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the school and community healthcare resources.
  11. Stay current on healthcare trends and best practices related to school nursing.
  12. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance nursing skills.
  13. Maintain a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of nursing care.
  15. Foster a positive and supportive relationship with students, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited College Or University.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A School Nurse Or In A Pediatric Healthcare Setting.

  • Certification In School Nursing (Csn) Or Willingness To Obtain Within First Year Of Employment.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Pertaining To School Health Services And Student Health Records.
