  1. Provide specialized respiratory care to patients with respiratory illnesses and disorders.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Monitor and assess patient response to treatments and make necessary adjustments.
  4. Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
  7. Maintain and operate respiratory equipment and perform regular maintenance checks.
  8. Assist in emergency situations and provide support during procedures such as intubations.
  9. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in respiratory care and implement them in practice.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  12. Maintain a compassionate and caring attitude towards patients and their families.
  13. Continuously monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and make necessary changes to treatment plans.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing new protocols and procedures.
  15. Provide guidance and support to less experienced respiratory therapists and other healthcare team members.

  17. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and continuing education programs.
  18. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  19. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As An Rrt In A Long Term Acute Care Setting.

  • Advanced Knowledge Of Mechanical Ventilation, Airway Management, And Respiratory Medications.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team-Oriented Environment.
