1. Provide specialized care to patients with cancer, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with treatments.

3. Monitor and evaluate patient response to treatments and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
4. Educate patients and their families about cancer treatments, side effects, and self-care strategies.
5. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, following infection control protocols and maintaining proper documentation.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
7. Serve as a resource and support for patients and their families, providing emotional support and addressing their concerns and questions.
8. Stay current on advancements in oncology nursing through continuing education and training opportunities.
9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
10. Collaborate and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the oncology department.
12. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients and their families.
