Registered Nurse - Post Surgical

1. Provide expert nursing care to patients in the Post Surgical unit, following all established protocols and procedures.
2. Monitor and assess patient's condition, report any changes to the physician and implement appropriate interventions.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
5. Educate patients and their families on post-surgical care, including medication management, wound care, and follow-up appointments.
6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care provided, and response to treatment.
7. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, following infection control and safety protocols.
8. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues to provide emotional support and address concerns.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
10. Stay updated on current nursing practices and attend educational opportunities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
11. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
12. Provide guidance and support to nursing assistants and other members of the healthcare team.
13. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
14. Demonstrate professionalism and empathy in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
