  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to all patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
  2. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Monitor and assess changes in patient's condition and take appropriate action, including notifying physicians and implementing interventions.
  5. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
  7. Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  8. Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  9. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in cardiovascular care.
  10. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
  11. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and facilitate safe patient discharge.
  12. Serve as a patient advocate and communicate any concerns or issues to the appropriate individuals.
  13. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  14. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  15. Continuously monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to the care plan.
  16. Serve as a role model for professional behavior and uphold the values and mission of Ascension Health.
  17. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
  18. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  19. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  20. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification.

  • Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Critical Care Setting, Preferably In A Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (Icu).

  • Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge In Caring For Patients With Complex Cardiovascular Conditions, Including Post-Operative Care For Cardiac Surgeries And Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring.
