- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in accordance with Ascension Health's standards and policies.
- Utilize expertise in nursing and occupational health to assess and address the health and safety needs of associates.
- Develop and implement occupational health programs and initiatives to promote the overall well-being of associates.
- Conduct health assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify potential health risks and provide appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and departments to ensure comprehensive care for associates.
- Educate and counsel associates on health and safety practices and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records and documentation.
- Monitor and track occupational health trends and outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
- Stay current with industry standards and best practices in occupational health.
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams and committees to promote a culture of health and safety in the workplace.
- Provide support and guidance to associates regarding work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements related to occupational health.
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for associates regarding occupational health services and concerns.
- Continuously assess and improve processes and procedures related to occupational health.
- Collaborate with management to implement and promote wellness initiatives for associates.
Current Rn Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Active Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing. This Is A Mandatory Requirement For All Registered Nurse Positions At Ascension Health.
Associate Degree In Nursing: As An Associate And Occupational Health Rn, The Candidate Must Have Completed An Accredited Nursing Program And Obtained An Associate Degree In Nursing. This Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Effectively.
Clinical Experience: Ascension Health Requires A Minimum Of Two Years Of Clinical Experience For The Registered Nurse-Associate And Occupational Health Position. This Experience Should Include Direct Patient Care And Occupational Health Experience Is Preferred.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Current Bls Certification From The American Heart Association Or The American Red Cross. This Certification Is Necessary For Responding To Medical Emergencies.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Rn At Ascension Health, The Candidate Must Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members. This Includes Active Listening, Empathy, And The Ability To Provide Clear And Concise Instructions.
